Our Trip to MOTAT.
Look at all of the exciting adventures we had at MOTAT...

20.3.17
Today room 9 went on an adventure to One Tree Hill. The purpose of our trip was to appreciate the environment that surrounds us and to notice our maunga (mountain), moana (water) and whenua (land). This will help us when we start writing our pepehas next week.
We had a fruit break once we got to One Tree Hill.
It was a big walk up Rawhiti Road!

The sheep came to say hello to us!
We found some Cicada skins along the way. We have been learning about these since finding some on our way to Oranga Kindy.

Kaley found a ladybug, she set it free in the garden.

We walked through the secret garden!
We could hear a lot of cicadas and birds!

We ate our morning tea on the grass.

We looked for more Cicada shells. Dexter was helping too!
Harry found a huge piece of bark to bring back to school for the nature table.
We had fun climbing the big trees.

20.2.17
We were very lucky to have Eileen Phillips from Onehunga Library come into school to talk to us about the Library, read us some special stories and teach us some new songs!
